MINUTES Informational Meeting Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 4:00 PM Carnegie Town Hall, 235 West 10th St., Sioux Falls, SD 57104 1. Call To Order Council Members Present: David Barranco, Miranda Basye, Sarah Cole, Rich Merkouris, Jennifer Sigette, Ryan Spellerberg, Richard L. Thomason Council Members Absent: Curt Soehl 2. Committee/Commission Reports Council Member Cole provided an update on the Metro Management Meeting held today noting the staffing progress included that February will be fully staffed with emergency operators and shortly after that non-emergency operations will also be fully staffed. A. Siouxland Heritage Museum Board: Thursday, December 5, 2024 (Council Member Soehl) A report is not available at this time. B. Experience Sioux Falls - BID Board: Tuesday, December 10, 2024 (Council Member Thomason) Thomason provided an update stating the investments were reviewed with a local institution in Sioux Falls. 3. Councilor Remarks Merkouris stated that the Riverline Steering Committee met yesterday and there will be an update next Tuesday regarding recommendations and updates. An agreement about a parcel of land for the Riverland vision with state partners was reviewed. Merkouris encouraged the public to reach out with questions. A timeline is being reviewed for a public vote in the fall of 2025 or the spring of 2026 with the timeline to be discussed in January . 4. Presentations A. Sioux Falls Regional Airport Update by Dan Letellier, Executive Director, Sioux Falls Regional Airport Presentation: Approximately 15 minutes followed by discussion  Letellier gave an update on the Sioux Falls Regional Airport (presentation attached to the agenda). Following the presentation, there was some discussion and the quesitons asked by the Council were answered by Letellier. B. City Pension & South Dakota Retirement System by Angie Uthe, Assistant Director of Human Resources; Tom Huber, Assistant Director of Finance Presentation: Approximately 15 minutes followed by discussion Uthe and Huber provided an update on the CIty Pension and the South Dakota Retirement System (presentation attached to the agenda). Following their presentation, there was some discussion by the Council and questions were answered by Uthe and Huber. 5. Public Comment There was none. 6.
