MINUTES Informational Meeting Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 4:00 PM Carnegie Town Hall, 235 West 10th St., Sioux Falls, SD 57104 1. Call To Order Council Members Present: Miranda Basye, Sarah Cole, Jennifer Sigette, Curt Soehl, Ryan Spellerberg, Richard L. Thomason Council Members Absent: David Barranco, Rich Merkouris Meeting called to order at 4 p.m. by Council Chair Curt Soehl. 2. Committee/Commission Reports A. Accessible Housing Advisory Board: Wednesday, February 12, 2025 (Council Member Merkouris) Councilor Merkouris was absent, report not given at this time. 3. Councilor Remarks There were none. 4. Presentations A. Semi-Annual Crime Statistics Review by Chief Jon Thum, Sioux Falls Police Department Presentation: Approximately 15 minutes followed by discussion Jon Thum, Police Chief, gave a presentation on the semi-annual crime statistics (presentation attached to the agenda). Following the presentation, questions asked by the Council were answered by Thum. 5. Public Comment There were none. 6. Executive Session  A. Discussing information pertaining to the protection of public or private property and any person on or within public or private property specific to cyber security plans, computer, communications network schema, passwords, or user identification names, pursuant to SDCL 1-25-2(6)(d) B. Consulting with legal counsel or reviewing communications from legal counsel about proposed or pending litigation or contractual matters pursuant to SDCL 1-25- 2(3) A motion was made by Council Member Thomason and seconded by Council Member Basye to enter Executive Session for the purpose of Discussing information pertaining to the protection of public or private property and any person on or within public or private property specific to: Cyber security plans, computer, communications network schema, passwords, or user identification names, pursuant to SDCL 1-25-2(6)(d); and Consulting with legal counsel or reviewing communications from legal counsel about proposed or pending litigation or contractual matters pursuant to SDCL 1-25-2(3) at 4:21 p.m. Roll call vote to enter Executive Session. 6 Yes: Basye, Cole, Sigette, Soehl, Spellerberg, Thomason; 0 No: (None).
