MINUTES Tuesday, April 14, 2015 Public Services Committee 5:40 PM Carnegie Town Hall 235 West 10th Street Members Present: Council Member Michelle Erpenbach, Council Member Christine M. Erickson, Council Member Rick Kiley, and Council Member Kermit L. Staggers Staff Present: Tamara Jorgensen, MMC, Assistant City Clerk; David Bixler, Budget Analyst; and Jim David, Legislative/Operations Manager 1. Call To Order Committee Chair Christine M. Erickson called the meeting to order at 5:40 p.m. 2. Review and approval of Minutes dated March 10, 2015 A motion was made by Michelle Erpenbach and seconded by Rick Kiley to approve the minutes. Vote to approve: Roll Call: Yeses, Michelle Erpenbach, Rick Kiley, Christine M. Erickson, Kermit L. Staggers, 4. Noes, 0. Motion Passed. 3. Overview of Home and Business Recycling Requirements by Jessica Lantgen, Sustainability Coordinator Jessica Lantgen, Sustainability Coordinator, provided an overview of Home and Business Recycling Requirements. She reviewed the following slides from her PowerPoint Presentation: Overview, Recycling Requirements: Residential; Public Education Efforts; Outcomes; Recycling Requirements: Rental Units; Non Residential Recycling; Regional Recycling Rate; Potential Outcomes; Proposed Next Steps; and Conclusion. Discussion followed. 4. Open Discussion There was none. 5. Adjournment A motion was made by Michelle Erpenbach and seconded by Rick Kiley to adjourn the meeting at 6:23 p.m. Committee Chair Christine M. Erickson adjourned the meeting.
