MINUTES Tuesday, September 8, 2015 Public Services Committee 5:15 PM Carnegie Town Hall 235 West 10th Street Members Present: Council Member Christine M. Erickson, Council Member Michelle Erpenbach, Council Member Kermit L. Staggers, Council Member Kenny Anderson Jr. Members Absent: None. Staff Present: Tamara Jorgensen, MMC, Assistant City Clerk; Jim David, Legislative/ Operations Manager; and David Bixler, Budget Analyst 1. Call To Order Committee Chair Christine M. Erickson called the meeting to order at 5:15 p.m. 2. Review and approval of minutes dated July 14, 2015 A motion was made by Michelle Erpenbach and seconded by Kenny Anderson Jr. to approve the minutes. Erickson called for a voice vote. All members voted yes. Motion Passed. 3. Transportation Network Companies by Dean Karsky, City Councilor Council Member Dean Karsky reviewed the following PowerPoint slides: Insurance Requirements; Minimum Limits of Coverage; Insurance Required - Transportation Network Company; and TNC and Insurer Disclosure Requirements. Jim David, Legislative/Operations Manager, reviewed the following PowerPoint Slides: Other Amendments; Definitions; Qualifications for Transportation Network Co. Business; Application for Transportation Network Company and Issuance; License Required; Transportation Network Company Driver Requirements; Vehicle for Hire Amendments: Frequency of Inspections; Definitions; Qualification for Taxicab Businesses. Discussion followed. A motion was made by Council Member Michelle Erpenbach and seconded by Council Member Kenny Anderson Jr. to add these proposed ordinance revisions to the City Council Meeting Agendas with a first reading on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. and a second reading on Monday, November 2, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. A voice vote was taken and all members voted yes.
