MINUTES Tuesday, February 9, 2016 Public Services Committee 6:10 PM Carnegie Town Hall 235 West 10th Street Members Present: Council Member Kenny Anderson, Jr., Council Member Christine M. Erickson, Council Member Michelle Erpenbach, and Council Member Kermit L. Staggers Members Absent: None Staff Present: Tamara Jorgensen, MMC, Assistant City Clerk; Tom Greco, City Clerk; David Bixler, Budget Analyst; and Jim David, Legislative/ Operations Manager 1. Call To Order Committee Chair Christine M. Erickson called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m. 2. Review and approval of minutes dated January 12, 2016 A motion was made by Michelle Erpenbach and seconded by Christine M. Erickson to approve the minutes. A voice vote was taken and all members voted yes. Motion Passed. 3. 2015 International Fire Code Amendments Review by Dean Lanier, Fire Marshal Dean Lanier, Fire Marshal, reviewed the amendments for the 2015 International Fire Code which included the following PowerPoint Slides: Principles of Fire Life Safety, Group A. Occupancies, Seating Plan, Announcements, Fire Evacuation Plan, Staff Training, Solar Photovoltaic Power Systems, Assembly Occupancies on Roofs; and Emergency Access To 1-2 Family Housing Developments. Discussion followed. The Public Services Committee would like to have an additional update on the progress from Lanier at the meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 8, 2016. 4. Open Discussion There was none. 5. Adjournment A motion was made by Michelle Erpenbach and seconded by Kenny Anderson Jr. to adjourn the meeting at 6:47 p.m. A voice vote was taken and all members voted yes. Motion Passed.
