5 1. Call to Order & Roll Call
6 The September 22, 2025, special meeting of the Parks, Property & Streets Committee was called to
7 order by Committee Chair Louise Howson at 1:00 P.M.

9 Committee Members Present: Committee Chair Louise Howson and members Denise Bhirdo, Jerry
10 Ahrens, with Nate Bell arriving at 1:01 P.M. and Mike Laszkiewicz arriving at 1:18 P.M.

18 Motion by Bhirdo to approve the agenda, second by Ahrens. Motion carried – all ayes

22 4. Discussion/Action Items
23 a. Review 2025-2029 Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan
24 Schmelzer introduced the Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan, noting it was a project that
25 began in 2022. She explained that with the completion of the comprehensive plan and trail maps,
26 they were able to finalize the outdoor recreation plan. She noted this is a plan that should be
27 updated every three years. The plan was developed based on public sessions, surveys, feedback, and
28 planning process from the comprehensive land use plan. Schmelzer opened the floor for general
29 comments or specific changes. The committee discussed the draft and made several changes, all of
30 which Schmelzer agreed to forward to Bay-Lake Regional Planning, who the village has a contract
31 with to update the plan.
32 Motion by Bhirdo to approve the 2025-2029 Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan as amended,
33 second by Bell. Motion carried – all ayes

35 5. Next Meeting: Regular Meeting October 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM
