Village of South Amherst Board of Cemetery Trustees Wednesday, January10th 2024 Meeting called to order at 6:04 p.m. by R. Leshinski. Roll Call: Board members: Rosemary Leshinski, Lawerence Verga. Clerk, Natalie Iafolla, Current Agenda: Additions: Swinehart Memorial and Cemetery Mapping. Motion to approve by Rosemary Leshinski and seconded by Lawerence Verga, with all in favor. Approval of Minutes from 11/08/2023 and 12/20/2023: Motion made to approve by Lawerence Verga and seconded by Rosemary Leshinski, with all in favor. Visitors: Emil Ruth “Lockes Go-Green” Financial Reporting- Board received financial statements. Rosemary Leshinski motioned to accept and seconded by Lawerence Verga with all in favor. Old Business: Catch basin evaluation: Clerk asked to place order with service worker to evaluate drainage issues. Basin is located at bottom of entrance to cemetery. Bukovec lot: Lot has been located and paperwork is to be sent to Mr. Bukovec now that Sec. H has been edited. Update on baby Ritz: Rosemary Leshinski made a motion to send information to the village law director, seconded by Lawernce Verga. Family will be directed to contact village law director with questions. Section H audit: Done, computer updates in place. Cemetery Sexton/ Maintenance Position: To be presented to council at the next council meeting. Drainage in Sec B and L.: Flooding in these areas continue to be a problem. Issue to be revisited. Emil Ruth to check with county and give update on Ludwig ditch. New Business: Appoint board chairperson: Tabled Cemetery Board Member Job Description: Needs revision. Board will update and resubmit. Change in bi-law pricing of lots: Changes board would request, 1. Increase Residential pricing to meet Non-Residential pricing over a 2 year period. 2. Remove item that states; Monument Movement as needed……….$150.00 3. Add military footer price to read…per contractor price. An ordinance will need to be written. 2024 Projects: Tree replacement in memorial garden and Dirt Pile on south-east corner of cemetery: Locke’s Go Green will submit an proposal. Create a facebook page: There is a village facebook page that the cemetery may use. Swinehart Memorial: Emil Ruth informed the board that Mr. Swinehart has reached out to him regarding the leveling of a family memorial. Mr. Swinehart will pay the cemetery for the footer placement. Leveling compensation will be taken care of through Locke’s Go Green. Adjournment: 8:00 p.m.
