Village of South Blooming Grove REGUALR MEETING Tuesday December 14, 2020 7:00 P.M.  Call to order o Mayor Kalaj called to order the Village Board Meeting at 7:00 p.m. on December 14, 2020, at the South Blooming Grove Fire House located at 819 State Route 208, within the Village of South Blooming Grove, and having a mailing address of Monroe, New York.  Roll call The following persons were present: o George Kalaj- Mayor o Abraham Weiss – Deputy Mayor o Johnny Belfort – Trustee o John L. Ross – Trustee o Yitzchok Feldman – Trustee o Scott B. Ugell, Esq. – Village Attorney o Kerry Dougherty – Village Clerk  Mayor’s Comments: o Informed residents of impending snow and reminded all residents to remove all garbage cans, toys, etc., from the road and not to park on the street; wished everyone a happy Hannukah and Merry Christmas.  Public Comments o Brian Mullan, 33 Duelk Ave.: water is worse than ever; would like to know if the green and white bus schedule is available; not happy about buses in front of the old bank- it is unsightly and unsafe; why is sign code not enforced. o Sue Anne Vogelsberg, 242 Prospect Road: please send robocall for winter weather rules; would like to see signed contract with Reliable Computers; concerned with increase attorney line in 2021 budget; filed incident report on 12/13/20 concerning buses parking at the bank; concerned with UJC running the bus as well as serving on the Village Board o Bonnie Rum, 64 Shore Drive: concerned with school buses being allowed in an area that is not near a school; buses need to remove ice and snow from bus roofs; would like entire Clovewood public hearing meeting minutes to be available verbatim. o Yoel Wagschal, 9 Kingsville Drive: has lived here for 14 years; looking forward to all things the new mayor has promised; looking forward to 2021. o Susan Blakeney, 41 Clove Road: responding to Yoel’s comment; even though she doesn’t live in the village, she borders the village and should be respected as much as village residents. 1  Village of South Blooming Grove REGUALR MEETING Tuesday December 14, 2020 7:00 P.M.  Business o Resolution No. (78) – Resolution of the Village Board of the Village of South Blooming Grove setting a meeting schedule for Village Board Meeting and Village Board Work Sessions for 2021. Motion to accept by Trustee Ross, seconded by Deputy Mayor Weiss, 5 Ayes, Mayor Kalaj, Deputy Mayor Weiss, Trustee Belfort, Trustee Feldman, and Trustee Ross. o Resolution No. (79) – Resolution of the Village Board of the Village of South Blooming Grove setting the dates of the Village Holiday Schedule for 2021. Motion to accept by Trustee Ross, seconded by Deputy Mayor Weiss, 5 Ayes, Mayor Kalaj, Deputy Mayor Weiss, Trustee Belfort, Trustee Feldman, and Trustee Ross. o Resolution No. (80) – Resolution of the Village Board of the Village of South Blooming Grove Setting a public hearing regarding the adoption of rents and rates for the Village’s Water District – December 28, 2020. Motion to accept by Trustee Ross, seconded by Deputy Mayor Weiss, 5 Ayes, Mayor Kalaj, Deputy Mayor Weiss, Trustee Belfort, Trustee Feldman, and Trustee Ross. o Resolution No. (81) – Resolution of the Village Board of the Village of South Blooming Grove Setting a public hearing regarding the adoption of rents and rates for the Village’s Sewer District – December 28, 2020. Motion to accept by Trustee Ross, seconded by Deputy Mayor Weiss, 5 Ayes, Mayor Kalaj, Deputy Mayor Weiss, Trustee Belfort, Trustee Feldman, and Trustee Ross.  Abstract o Motion to adopt the Abstract by Trustee Ross, seconded by Deputy Mayor Weiss, 5 Ayes, Mayor Kalaj, Deputy Mayor Weiss, Trustee Belfort, Trustee Feldman, and Trustee Ross.  Trustee Comments o Trustee Ross: asked mayor and board to respond to residents’ queries during the meeting. o Mayor Kalaj: Code Enforcement Officer is dealing with the buses.  Adjournment o Motion to close the meeting at 7:25 p.m. by Mayor Kalaj, seconded by Trustee Feldman. 5 Ayes, Mayor Kalaj, Deputy Mayor Weiss, Trustee Belfort, Trustee Feldman, and Trustee Ross.
