Village of South Blooming Grove Regular Meeting Monday December 18, 2023 8:00pm  Call to Order Mayor Kalaj called to order the Village Board Meeting at 8:03 pm on December 18, 2023, for the Village of South Blooming Grove located at 811 State Route 208, within the Village of South Blooming Grove, and having a mailing address of Monroe, New York.  Roll Call The following persons were present: o George Kalaj – Mayor o Yitzchok Feldman- Trustee (Late) o Abraham Weiss – Deputy Mayor o Asher Guttman- Trustee o Zalmon Rosner – Trustee o Scott Ugell, Esq. – Village Attorney o Joel Stern – Confidential Assistant to the Mayor o Kerry Dougherty – Village Clerk • Absent o Isaac Ekstein – Legislative Aide to Mayor o Al Fusco – Village Engineer  Mayor’s comments o Keep all garbage cans away from the curb especially when there is snow. Safety vests should be work when walking at night. Do not flush any non-flushable items down the toilet. Sewer back ups are costing a lot of money and we may have to raise rates.  Public Comments o Bonnie Rum At the last meeting people didn’t hear what Joel Stern said he had great ideas with districts. You are not allowed to have districts. A village cannot create a district. If you install sidewalks you have to worry about infrastructure.  Business o Resolution No. (84) – Resolution of the Village Board of the Village of South Blooming Grove setting the meeting schedule for the Village Board Meetings and Workshops for 2024. Motion to accept by Trustee Rosner, seconded by Trustee Guttman. 5Ayes, Mayor Kalaj, Deputy Mayor Weiss, Trustee Feldman, Trustee Rosner, Trustee Guttman. o Resolution No. (85) – Resolution of the Village Board of the Village of South Blooming Grove setting the dates of the Village Holidays for 2024.
