Discussion/possible motion to adopt the revised Hiring Policy. PUBLIC WORKS AND PUBLIC PROPERTY – C. Maass 9. Discussion/possible motion regarding the purchase of a replacement compactor for the self-deposit station from Stepp Equipment in the amount of $76,325 with funds allocated in the capital fund for this use plus $26,325 to be reallocated from the Hot Box Truck capital line item. 10. Discussion/possible motion regarding rental of the Senior Center for private events. PLAN COMMISSION – B. Briesemeister 11. Discussion on public hearing comments and possible motion on proposed ordinance to amend Sec- tion 15.03 (A)(11) of the Municipal Code definition of clubs and lodges. 12. Reminder that the next meeting of the Plan Commission will be on September 24, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. REPORTS OF THE MAYOR 14. Beautification Committee update and reminder about the Fall Cleanup from 9:00 a.m. to noon on Sat- urday, September 21, 2019. Meet at 11th and Madison Avenues, lunch will be served after cleanup. 15. Update on the proposed countywide sales tax legislation. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS – City Attorney 16. Discussion/possible motion to go into closed session pursuant to Wis. Stat. 19.85(1)(g) for the pur- pose of discussing legal strategies with the city attorney with respect to litigation in which the city is or is likely to become involved, including: South Milwaukee v. Kartye (Milwaukee Co. Case 2017CV4125), South Milwaukee v. Carol Investment Corporation (Milwaukee Co. Case 2018CV5557) and South Milwaukee v. Osmani (Milwaukee Co. Case 2018CV59858) and pursuant to Wis. Stat. 19.85(1)(e), for market competition and bargaining reasons, to consider the potential acquisition of properties to be used for public purposes in the City. 17.
