City of Spearfish Public Works Committee Minutes February 11, 2020 The Public Works Committee met at 4:15 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 with the following members present: Clark, Herrmann and Hodgs. Absent: none. Also present were: City Administrator Harmon, City Planner Watson, Park and Recreation Director Ehnes, City Attorney McDonald, City Finance Officer DeNeui, Assistant Finance Officer Thurmes, Public Works Director Lee and Public Safety Director Rotert. Parks and Recreation Agreement – Committee recommended to full council to approve a professional service agreement with HDR Engineering Inc. for services related to the potential construction of new sports fields and layout of proposed workforce housing subdivision. Cost is estimated to be $9,950. Resolution 2020-05 – Committee recommended to full council to approve Resolution 2020-05 – A Resolution to Set Fees Charged by the City, effective March 12, 2020. The resolution includes updates to fees charged at the Rec Center. Public Works Move – Committee recommended to full council to move Adam McMahon to assistant public works director effective 2/23/2020. This is a lateral move. Hire – Committee recommended to full council to authorize City staff to hire KLJ to design a wildlife fence for the airport. Estimated cost is $190,039.10. Public Comment – Public comment section was opened at 4:20 p.m. and closed with no comments. There being no further discussion before the committee, the meeting was adjourned at 4:25 p.m.
