ROLL CALL The Secretary called the roll of the Parks Advisory Board. With a quorum present, the meeting commenced. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Motion by Tommy Holland, seconded by Heather Dubon, to approve the agenda. Motion carried. CITIZEN PARTICIPATION None FORMAL BOARD ITEMS Approval of Minutes: May 15, 2021 Motion by Tommy Holland, seconded by Heather Dubon, to approve the meeting minutes. Motion carried. Recommendation to accept downtown mini park plan Motion by Heather Dubon, seconded by Chris Cabe, to approve the recommendation to accept the mini park plan. Motion carried. Appointment of Vice-Chairperson Spring Hill Parks Advisory Board Meeting Minutes Page 1 of 2  THE FOLLOWING MINUTES ARE SUBJECT TO MODIFICATION AND ARE NOT OFFICIAL MINUTES UNTIL APPROVED BY THE SPRING HILL PARKS ADVISORY BOARD Tommy Holland nominated Heather Dubon for Vice-Chairperson; Catherine Sparks seconded the motion. Motion carried. DISCUSSION  Mr. Jones would like notice of absence from board members 24 hours before scheduled meeting. Agreement of board members to maintain 7pm meeting time.  In-depth conversation regarding Legacy Park nomination criteria and selection process. Suggestion, with board agreement, for nominee names to be withheld from the Board for the selection process to ensure objectivity. Mr. Jones asked members to research and consider any changes for the process before next meeting; criteria and process need to be finalized for submittal to City Attorney. Proposed quarterly review of applications with annual recognition ceremony at Legacy Park. STAFF REPORT  The City is accepting donation of two fishing jetties by Seats, Inc. Veterans Park project is being prepared, start of construction projected for late fall.  City Clerk will prepare a class on KORA/KOMA for municipal board member. Green Board member attendance will be mandatory.  Heather Dubon received a citizen donation of $2 at Daffodil Days. Ms. Dubon will give said donation to City Clerk. ADJOURN Motion by Tommy Holland, seconded by Heather Dubon. Motion carried.
