Case No. BOA-2017-1. Address: 631 McDonough Street (Michael H Ilges). Two Requests. 1 st - Request to increase the maximum height for a fence located within a front yard setback from 4 feet to 6 feet as required by §400.550(A)(2)(a) of the City of St. Charles Code of Ordinances. 2nd – Request to construct a sight proof fence within the required front yard as prohibited by §400.550(A)(2)(b)(2) of the City of St. Charles Code of Ordinances. The Property is zoned R-1E Single Family Residential District and is within the Extended Historic Preservation District Overlay (Ward 2). 2. Case No. BOA-2017-3. Address: 130 Gamble Street (Lindenwood University). Request to approve the re-issuance of a nonconforming use permit for the continuation of apartments and dormitory uses on the subject property. A public hearing before the Board of Adjustment is required to consider the re-issuance of this nonconforming use permit per §400.790(B) because a protest signed by neighboring property owners was received. The zoning for the subject property is R-1E Single Family Residential District within the Extended Historic Preservation District. (Ward 9).
