BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT AGENDA May 7, 2018 BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT: Edmund Johnson, Chair Don Garrison, Jr., Vice-Chair Nancy Corbin, Secretary Marita Malone Maureen Rogers-Bouxsein Brian Andrzejewski, Alternate Richard Alferman, Alternate In accordance with Chapter 400 (Zoning Code) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of St. Charles, Missouri, notice is hereby given that the Board of Adjustment will conduct a public hearing on Monday, May 7, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. on the fourth floor of City Hall in the City Council Chambers, 200 North Second Street in St. Charles, Missouri for the purpose of giving interested parties and citizens an opportunity to be heard on the following matters: Call to Order and Call the Roll 1. Case No. BOA-2018-08. Address: 1016 Jackson Street. (Barry & Michelle Herring) Request to reduce the side yard setback for an accessory structure from five (5) feet to three and one-half (3.5) feet as regulated in §400.530(A)(3) of the City of St. Charles Code of Ordinances. The property is zoned R-1E Single Family Residential District (Ward 2). 2. Case No. BOA-2018-09. Address: 1307 and 1315 Chargene Drive. (Norman Houston) Request to decrease the required side yard setback for two accessory structures from five (5) feet to two (2) feet as regulated in §400.530(A)(3) of the City of St. Charles Code of Ordinances. The property is zoned R-1E Single Family Residential District (Ward 2). 3. Case No. BOA-2018-10. Address: 14 Wynnbrooke Manor Drive. (Robert Badgett) Request to decrease the required rear yard setback for an unenclosed deck from nineteen (19) feet to twelve (12) feet as regulated in §400.620(A)(4) of the City of St. Charles Code of Ordinances. The property is zoned R-1D Single Family Residential District (Ward 10). 4. Case No. BOA-2018-11. Address: 81 Oakdale Avenue. (Daniel and Donna Douglas) Request to increase the maximum length of a Recreational Vehicle parked on a residential lot from Board of Adjustment Agenda 1 thirty two (32) feet to thirty five (35) feet as regulated in §400.600(C)(5) of the City of St. Charles Code of Ordinances. The property is zoned R-1E Single Family Residential District (Ward 2). 5. Case No. BOA-2018-12. Address: 3500 Harry S. Truman Boulevard. (Bax Engineering - Cliff Heitmann) Request to reduce the setback from a residential district boundary from one hundred (100) feet to fifteen (15) feet as regulated in §400.240(D)(5)(a) of the City of St. Charles Code of Ordinances. The property is zoned I-1 Light Industrial District (Ward 6). 6. Case No. BOA-2018-13. Address: 905 North Kingshighway Street. (Jason Orf) 2 Requests. 1st - Request to increase the maximum height for an accessory structure (garage) from fourteen (14) feet to sixteen (16) feet as regulated in §400.530(A)(6) of the City of St. Charles Code of Ordinances. 2nd - Request to increase the maximum area for an accessory structure (garage) from fifty (50) percent (544 sq. ft.) to sixty (60) percent (644 sq. ft.) as regulated in §400.530(A)(7) of the City of St. Charles Code of Ordinances. The property is zoned R-1E Single Family Residential District within the EHP Extended Historic Preservation District overlay (Ward 7).
