LANDMARKS BOARD AGENDA FOR REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 11, 2016 LANDMARKS BOARD: Steve Martin, Chairperson Christine Berry, Vice Chair Gene Wood, Secretary Tom Kuypers Michelle Beucke Denise Mitchell Angela Schulte Cheryl Primm Tom Besselman, Council Liaison Mesdames and Gentlemen: On Monday, January 11, 2016, at 6:00 p.m., the City of St. Charles Landmarks Board will hold its regular monthly meeting in the Council Chambers on the fourth floor of City Hall, 200 North Second Street, St. Charles, Missouri. The agenda for this meeting is as follows: Attention Applicants: It is necessary that you or a knowledgeable representative of your interests be present at the meeting to answer any questions the Board may have concerning your application. Failure to provide answers to the Board’s questions may result in your application being tabled or denied. 1. Call to order and call the roll. 2. Consent Agenda (A) Permit No. 15-6399. 119 South Main Street. Jim Droste. The applicant is requesting approval of an identification sign for the OPO Plaza. [Historic Downtown District, Ward 1] 3. Items Removed from the Consent Agenda 4. Sign Permit Applications (A) Permit No. 16-7. 525 South Main Street. Joan Richterkessing. Structure Review Section 400.1180 Purpose The purpose of this subchapter is to protect, enhance, and perpetrate buildings, structures, districts, and sites of historical, cultural, architectural, engineering or geographic significance. Further, protection of cultural assets from demolition by neglect is an objective of this subchapter. Please note: Obtaining a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Landmarks Board does not authorize the applicant to build a structure. Building permits are required prior to construction. The applicant is requesting approval to replace the retaining wall, install a fence along the front of the property, and pave the front yard. The applicant is requesting approval to replace the front gallery’s railing and stairway. [Extended Historic Preservation District, Ward 1] (C) TABLED AT THE DECEMBER 14, 2015, MEETING Case No. 2015-37(SP). 509 South Benton Avenue. Greg Loomans. The applicant is requesting approval to build a deck on the rear of the house. [Extended Historic Preservation District, Ward 2] (D) Case No. C/A 2015-70(EC). 1047 North Kingshighway. Mike Harbian. The applicant is requesting after-the-fact approval for the erection of a wood privacy fence. [Extended Historic Preservation District, Ward 7] (E) Case No. C/A 2015-38(SP). 802 North Third Street. Jack Roddy. The applicant is requesting approval to install vinyl siding, replace the front gallery’s posts and railing, replace the two front doors with a single door with transom and sidelights, add two decks on the rear elevation, and replace a couple of windows.
