On Monday, December 12, 2016, at 6:00 p.m., the City of St. Charles Landmarks Board will
hold its regular monthly meeting in the Council Chambers on the fourth floor of City Hall,
200 North Second Street, St. Charles, Missouri. The agenda for this meeting is as follows:

present at the meeting to answer any questions the Board may have concerning your application.

(A) Case No. C/A 2016-83(EC). 518 Bainbridge Street. Charles Schultz. The
applicant is requesting approval to install a 4-foot tall chain link fence in the rear

(B) Case No. C/A 2016-82(EC). 217 Tompkins Street. Linda Ponzar. The applicant
is requesting approval to install a 42-inch tall chain link fence in the rear yard.

applicant is requesting after-the-fact approval to install a 6-foot tall wood privacy

(F) Case No. C/A 2016-80(EC). 1129 South Main Street. Mark & Eileen Hall. The
applicants are requesting approval to replace the windows in their 1950 Cape Cod
cottage. [Landmark Preservation District, Ward 2]
(G) Case No. C/A 2016-86(EC). 327 North Benton Avenue. Michael Schoenewies.
The applicant is requesting approval to replace the portico. [Extended Historic
Preservation District, Ward 1]
(H) Case No. 2016-25(SP). 324 Montgomery Street. Jason Palliser. The applicant is
requesting approval to build a two-car garage. [Frenchtown Preservation District,

5. Structure Review
Section 400.1180 Purpose
The purpose of this subchapter is to protect, enhance, and perpetrate buildings,
structures, districts, and sites of historical, cultural, architectural, engineering or
geographic significance. Further, protection of cultural assets from demolition by
neglect is an objective of this subchapter.
Please note: Obtaining a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Landmarks Board
does not authorize the applicant to build a structure. Building permits are required
prior to construction.
(A) Case No. C/A 2016-84(EC). 625 South Eighth Street. Richard Goodman. The
applicant is requesting approval to replace the windows and front door and reduce
the size of one window opening; clad the fascia and install siding; and replace the
porch light. [Extended Historic Preservation District, Ward 2]
(B) TABLED AT THE NOVEMBER 14, 2016, MEETING
Case No. C/A 2016-51(EC). 912 South Main Street. Troy Gongwer. The applicant
is requesting after-the-fact approval to install lighting for the outdoor patio dining
area on the south side of the building. [South Main Preservation District, Ward 2]

is requesting after-the-fact approval to install a prefabricated storage shed in the

(D) Case No. C/A 2016-88(EC). 218 North Fourth Street. David Nafar. The
applicant is requesting approval to replace the wooden stairway on the front
gallery with a brick stairway. [Extended Historic Preservation District, Ward 1]
