The applicant is requesting approval to install a hanging sign for The Color Cottage Hair Studio. Structure Review Section 400.1180 Purpose The purpose of this subchapter is to protect, enhance, and perpetrate buildings, structures, districts, and sites of historical, cultural, architectural, engineering or geographic significance. Further, protection of cultural assets from demolition by neglect is an objective of this subchapter. Please note: Obtaining a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Landmarks Board does not authorize the applicant to build a structure. Building permits are required prior to construction. The applicant is requesting approval to replace the portico decking and extend it across the length of the façade. The applicant is requesting after-the-fact approval to install lighting for the outdoor patio dining area on the south side of the building. The applicant is requesting approval to remove the modern brick veneer, replace the windows, cut a door opening in the north elevation, replace the rear garage door, and install drivet over the rear addition’s concrete block walls.
