Public Hearing - An ordinance amending Chapter 54 entitled “Miscellaneous Offenses” of the Code of the City of Suffolk, Virginia, to include a section regarding panhandling The public hearing was held as duly advertised. A motion was made to consider action on this item at the September 15, 2004, City Council meeting. Approved 7-0 21. Staff Report - A staff report regarding the Suffolk Neighborhood College No action required. 22. Staff Report - A staff report regarding Suffolk Farmers’ Market No action required. 23. Motion - A motion to schedule a Work Session for September 15, 2004, at 4:00 p.m., unless canceled. Approved 7-0 There was a motion to amend the agenda to consider the following items: An appointment to the Welfare Board: Gloria Corbitt An appointment to the Wetlands Board: Jeffery Colley Mayor Bobby L. Ralph and Vice Mayor Leroy Bennett were designed the voting delegate and alternate delegate to the Virginia Municipal League Annual Conference. 24.
