Consent Agenda – An ordinance to accept and appropriate Fiscal Year 2004-2005 Home Investment Partnership (HOME) funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development – Second Reading Approved 7-0 8. Consent Agenda – An ordinance to accept and appropriate donations for use by the Department of Parks and Recreation – First Reading Approved 7-0 9. Consent Agenda – An ordinance to accept and appropriate funds from the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Aviation and to provide for a local cash match – First Reading Approved 7-0 10. Staff Report – Update on the multi-modal trail system. No City Council action was required. 14. Motion – A motion to schedule a Work Session for March 16, 2005, at 4:00 p.m., unless canceled. Approved 7-0 There was a motion to amend the agenda to consider the following items and all of these items were approved by a vote of 7-0: An appointment to the Fine Arts Commission – Lue Ward An appointment to the Industrial Development Authority – W. Paul Scott An appointment to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission – Clinton Jenkins Appointments to the Planning Commission - W. Ross Boone and Sylvester Jones 2 An ordinance to amend Chapter 2, Administration, Article II, Section 2-38 of the Code of the City of Suffolk, Virginia, related to the appointment and the duties of the Deputy City Clerk. A resolution confirming the appointment of Tracey l. Sanford as the Deputy City Clerk for the City of Suffolk, Virginia. 15. Late Appearance – Guidelines for the Late Appearances period are outlined in the City Code Section 2-96 and permit each speaker five (5) minutes to address City Council.
