Ordinance - An ordinance authorizing the issuance and sale of General Obligation Refunding Bonds, Series 2005, in the maximum amount of $41,000,000 by the City of Suffolk, Virginia, and establishing the terms, details and provisions for the payment thereof Approved 7-0 17. Resolution - A resolution to authorize lease financing of the Western Tidewater Community Services Board Consumer Facility Project at 1000 Commercial Lane in Suffolk, Virginia Approved 7-0 18. Motion – A motion to schedule a Work Session for September 21, 2005, at 4:00 p.m., unless canceled Approved 7-0 21. Motion – A motion to schedule a City Council Retreat for September 14-16, 2005, at the Office of Economic Development Approved 7-0 2 22. Motion – A motion to accept the August 17, 2005, Affordable Housing Task Force Report to City Council and to forward it to the Planning Commission for review and recommendation as part of the 2018 Comprehensive Plan review and update. Approved 7-0 There was a motion to amend the agenda to consider the following items and all of these items were approved by a vote of 7-0: Appointment of a City Council Liaison to the Airport Commission – Council Member Joseph Barlow An appointment to Virginia Coalition of High-Growth Communities – Council Member Calvin Jones 23. Late Appearances – Guidelines for the Late Appearances period are outlined in the City Code Section 2-96 and permit each speaker five (5) minutes to address City Council.
