Washington Street (Phoenix Bank Building structure and parcel) by the City of Suffolk to
the Virginia Department of Historic Resources
- A resolution authorizing the dedication of a historic preservation easement to the
Commonwealth of Virginia, Board of Historic Resources, on certain real property
identified as tax map and parcel number 34G25(A)*3 associated with the
restoration and adaptive reuse of the Phoenix Bank of Nansemond building.

15. Public Hearing - To consider the creation of a Special Taxing District to be known as
the Downtown Business Overlay District and to amend the service provisions in the
existing Suffolk Taxing District.

18. Ordinance - Subdivision Variance Request V1-05 submitted by E. Rodney Flores,
applicant, on behalf of Giles Virginia Ventures, LLC, property owner, for a variance
from the Unified Development Ordinance Section 31-612(f) to provide for the required
street connectivity and Section 31-612(n)(10) in regard to minimum intersection spacing
(This item was continued from the May 17, 2006, City Council meeting.)

from taxation or otherwise taxed for the 2006 and 2007 tax years

- An ordinance approving the City Budget and appropriating funds for expenditures
