Consent Agenda - An ordinance to accept and appropriate additional funds from the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Health for the Four-For-Life Program – Second Reading Approved 7-0 8. Consent Agenda - An ordinance to accept and appropriate a grant award from the Virginia Fire Program Fund – First Reading Approved 7-0 9. Public Hearing - A public hearing to receive comments regarding the amended Fairgrounds Redevelopment Plan - A resolution approving the amended Fairgrounds Redevelopment Plan as prepared by the Suffolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority Approved 6-1 (Vice Mayor Milteer voted in opposition.) 18. Ordinance - An ordinance amending City Code Sections 22-146 and 22-138 so as to limit the expansion of Holly Lawn Cemetery and to provide for perpetual care of the City cemeteries generally A motion to continue consideration of this item to the August 1, 2007, City Council meeting Approved 6-1 (Council Member Parr voted in opposition.) 2 19. Motion - A motion to schedule a Work Session for June 20, 2007, at 4:00 p.m., unless canceled or called earlier by the Mayor Approved 7-0 20. Motion - A motion to cancel the July 4, 2007, City Council Meeting in observance of Independence Day Approved 7-0 21. Late Appearances - Guidelines for the Late Appearances period are outlined in the City Code Section 2-96 and permit each speaker five (5) minutes to address City Council. There is no limitation on the total time period for Late Appearances. No City Council action required. 22. Announcements and Comments from City Council Members A motion to schedule a Special City Council meeting for June 13, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. to receive public comment on the regional transportation authority.
