Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee Meeting Sidewalk Workshop March 11, 2020 Summerville Town Hall, Training Room 9:00 a.m. Attendees: Members: Rick Reiff, Kelley Johnson, Mike Peebles, John Mott, John Pardee, Sandy O’Keefe, Ned Shows Visitors: Bonnie Miley, Town of Summerville, Sarah Cox, BCDCOG. Rick presented the 2019 Sidewalk Improvement List. He noted that the top 2 recommendations had been approved for funding and were going further. So the new list will reflect this and move up projects accordingly. The committee discussed each project proposal and adjusted priorities and made clarifications. It was agreed that many of the sidewalk projects could and should actually be multi-use path projects, where feasible. Sarah Cox advised the committee that the BCDCOG could provide additional resource material for our proposals, and avenues outside of the Town of Summerville for some projects. Bonnie noted that there may be a change to the Town’s fiscal year, but at this time the deadline for funding proposals is August. The next regular meeting of the BPAC will be on Wednesday, May 20th at 9:00 a.m. Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 a.m. Respectfully submitted by Kelley Johnson
