Saul Alexander Playground Update-All major playground equipment has been installed. Summerville Miracle League is now overseeing installation of drainage and sidewalks. b. Summer Camp recap c. Planning and Development Committee: a. Petition by Michael Lawrence Knotts and Laura McCurry Knotts to annex Dorchester Co. TMS# 136-07-01-002, located at 100 W. Butternut Road and totaling approximately 0.85 acres. Currently zoned CN, Neighborhood Commercial in Dorchester County and will be zoned G-B, General Business, upon annexation into the Town of Summerville’s municipal limits. (Council District 1) Planning Commission held a public hearing and made a recommendation for approval with a zoning of N-B, Neighborhood Business, at their meeting on July 19, 2021. b. Petition by the Rosemary Family Limited Partnership to annex Berkeley County TMS#’s 221- 00-00-005, -200, -201, -202, and 220-00-02-019 (approximately 100.23 acres total), currently zoned PD-OP/IP Planned Development District – Office or Industrial Park in Berkeley County and will be zoned G-B General Business upon annexation into the Town of Summerville’s municipal limits. (Council District 2) Planning Commission held a public hearing and made a recommendation for approval their meeting on July 19, 2021. c. Request to rezone TMS#s 130-00-00-008 and 130-00-00-050, located on N. Maple St., approximately 20.91 acres, and owned by CVEA Summerville I, LLC from N-MX, Neighborhood Mixed-Use to G-B, General Business. Petition by Thomas A. Limehouse and Robert L. Arrington to annex Berkeley County TMS# 221-00-00-007 (approximately 2.926 acres) located at 1321 Beagle Road; currently zoned HI, Heavy Industrial, in Berkeley County and will be zoned G-B, General Business, upon annexation into the Town of Summerville’s municipal limits. (Council District 2) Planning Commission held a public hearing and made a recommendation for approval at their meeting on May 18, 2020. The applicant requested that the item be held until the properties owned by Rosemary Family Limited Partnership proceeded with annexation. e. Petition by JSCA Investments, LLC to annex Berkeley County TMS# 221-00-00-006 (approximately 7.36 acres) located on Beagle Road; currently zoned HI, Heavy Industrial, in Berkeley County and will be zoned G-B, General Business, upon annexation into the Town of Summerville’s municipal limits. (Council District 2) Planning Commission held a public hearing and made a recommendation for approval at their meeting on May 18, 2020. Discussion of federal national procurement pre-bid contracts for government agencies d. Approval of a requisition to award the Wassamassaw Park Trail Resurfacing project to Truluck Construction, Inc in the amount of $58,875.00 pending receipt of funding from HUD and the successful completion of an environmental review/assessment by Civitas. Financial Requisitions: 1. Authorization to issue a purchase order to Dick Smith Ford in the amount of $63,414.00 for a Ford F450 crew cab truck. Request from Stormwater Department. Funds to come from budgeted stormwater capital (vehicles). 2. Authorization to issue a purchase order to Dick Smith Ford in the amount of $47,282.00 for a F250 crew cab truck. Request from Stormwater Department. Funds to come from budgeted stormwater capital (vehicles). 3. Authorization to issue a purchase order to Steen Enterprises in the amount of $57,027.93 for a Kubota KX40 mini-excavator. Request from Stormwater Department. Funds to come from budgeted Stormwater Capital (equipment). This is on a State Contract. 4. Authorization to issue a purchase order to Steen Enterprises in the amount of $7,874.32 for a PJ tilt deck trailer for the mini-excavator. Request from Stormwater Department. Funds to come from budgeted Stormwater Capital (equipment). 5. Authorization to issue a change order to Sea Island Land Development, LLC in the amount of $31,782.56 for the Germantown Stormwater Pond project. Funds to come from Stormwater Fund. f. Surplus Vehicles 1.
