Tuesday, July 5, 2022
The Regular Meeting of the Common Council was called to order by Mayor Jim Paine at 6:30 p.m. in
the Government Center, Board Room 201.

7.1 Human Resources Committee (Meeting held June 20, 2022)
Report from Councilor Ludwig.
RECOMMENDATION:
1. Approve updating to the COVID-19 Administrative Leave temporary policy, to allow
for employees (with a documented past case of COVID-19 between 6/1/2021 and
5/3/2022) to be credited up to 5 calendar days of PTO for the PTO they used during that
period for their mandatory quarantine.
MOTION to approve by Councilor Ludwig, seconded by Councilor Bender, and
carried.

9. OLD BUSINESS
9.1 MAYOR PAINE recommending approval of R22-13603, a resolution of the City of
Superior, Wisconsin Authorizing the Purchase of Real Property from The Library Superior,
LLC and Authorizing Execution of a Purchase and Sale Agreement and Related Documents
in Connection Therewith.
NO ACTION.
9.2 FINANCE COMMITTEE recommending the approval of O22-4276, an ordinance updating
city code pertaining to election inspector compensation. (Postponed due to lack of quorum
on item at June 21, 2022 Common Council Meeting.)
MOTION to approve by Councilor Sweeney, seconded by Councilor Herrick, and
carried. Councilors Van Sickle and Ludwig abstained, due to their active election
inspector status.
10. NEW BUSINESS
10.1 CITY CLERK RAMOS recommending approval of miscellaneous licenses.
MOTION to approve by Councilor Elm, seconded by Councilor Bender, and carried.
10.2 2021 ANNUAL REPORT submitted by the Superior Business Improvement District.
NO ACTION. Full 2021 budget and annual report will be submitted to 7/19/2022
Regular Council Meeting.
* Correction by City Clerk: There was no MCCC meeting held on June 2o, 2022.
