Ashley Wilson Road, Sweeny, Texas MINUTES BE IT KNOWN that Sweeny Beautification Committee of the City of Sweeny met in Regular Session on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 5:30 PM at Sweeny Community Center Meeting Room; 205 W. Ashley Wilson Road, Sweeny, Texas with the following agenda. I. CALL TO ORDER: Sanci Coufal called to order the meeting of the Sweeny Beautification Committee at 5:40pm on Thursday, December 4, 2025 II. ROLL CALL: Sanci Coufal, Ashley Rambo, Joanna Rambo, Starr Fitch, J’Cee Coufal, Kayla Peterson, Stacy McMullin-by phone, Ellen Farley-by phone, Melanie Mullins, Tabatha Crober and Shelli Alfrey were present. III. TREASURER’S REPORT: Current Balance = N/A due to bank account access IV. CONSENT AGENDA: Motion made by J’Cee and seconded by Starr to approve the previous minutes from regular meeting November 6, 2025. All in favor. Motion carried. V. NEW BUSINESS: THANKSGIVING BAKE SALE: • Wrap up report o Income = $1326.20 CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK 2025: • Saturday, December 6, 2025; Gazebo Park o Theme: “Santa’s Workshop” • Updates and needs: o Gazebo Lights – Mark Morgan has been paid and lights are up. o Manger Scene – The manger scene is up, it’s small, but the frame is good. The figures may need paint touchups but aren’t in bad shape. o SCS Art Contest – Recycled Christmas Ornament contest; 1st place Bottle tree, 2nd place Egg carton tree, 3rd place manger wind chime o Vendors – 24 spots; 10 electric and 14 non-electric 1  o Decorating – Meeting early Saturday to add finishing touches o Parade – 23 entrants; lineup begins at 4:30pm o Walk of Trees – 13 donated trees and 13 families o Joe Pantalone/Street of Lights – 6 entries for Joe Pantalone/0 for Street of Lights; Sanci and judges will choose a winner tomorrow night. o Entertainment – Lineup has been set o Children’s Entertainment – Petting Zoo, snowball pit, and bounce house o Publicity/Sponsors – P66 sponsoring petting zoo o SBC Booth – We will have mostly single desserts/cookie tins/hot chocolate etc. o Port-a-cans/Light Plants – We will be using 2 cans from the city and 2 light plants of Dusty’s. Sweeny Pride Day 2026: • May 1-2, 2026; Backyard Park o Theme: TBD • Assign chairpersons for the following: o Parade- TBD o Publicity/Sponsors- Ashley o Vendors- Starr o Cookoff- Sanci, Joanna & Ashley o Entertainment- Ashley o Cake Auction- Joanna o 5K- Melanie o Beautiful Baby- Kayla & J’Cee o Children’s Entertainment- Kayla & Sanci o Cornhole/Washers- TBD o Car Show- Starr o Beautification Booth- TBD o Security- Ashley o Light Plants- City o Dumpster- City o Pageant- Ellen, Kayla & Melanie JR. HIGH VALENTINE’S DANCE: • Friday, February 13, 2026; Sweeny Methodist Gym o Motion made by Joanna and seconded by J’Cee to have the Jr. High Valentine’s Dance on Friday, February 13, 2026 at the sweeny methodist gym.  All in favor. Motion carried. JANUARY MEETING: • Motion made by Joanna and seconded by Kayla to have our January regular meeting on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 5:30pm. o All in favor. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:33pm.
