CALL TO ORDER: Pres. of Council Maguire called the Council Committee meeting of 12-9-13 to order
at 7:01 p.m.
ROLL CALL: Mr. Rensel, Mrs. Kilway, Mrs. Ray, Mr. Sisak, Mr. Donovan, Mr. Maguire, – present. Also
present were Mayor Kline, Dir. of Law Raber, Dir. of Finance Shanafelt, Dir. of Public Service Esler and
Economic Developer Loughry. Mr. Stalnaker was absent.

and if you do come up; we know this gentleman, but still for the record, as you know; Lloyd please state

PUBLIC HEARINGS: None.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Pres. of Council: We have several students in the audience tonight. City Council . . . typically we meet
on the second and fourth Thursday’s of the month and then the preceding Monday. On Thursday night
we vote to enact legislation. Tonight we are merely discussing legislation and so you will hear us talk
about the different ordinances before us. We are the legislative branch of City Government. We are
divided into six different committees. Each of my colleagues is the Chairperson of a committee and they
are on two other committees. So, we will go through things tonight and one of our colleagues wasn’t able
to join us because his wife is getting an award (Mr. Gene Stalnaker) is not with us tonight.
The other announcements are that there is going to be a swearing-in for the Council At-Large members at
6:30 p.m. on Thursday night. Are there any other announcements? No one responded. Our Finance
Director is not going to be able to be with us on Thursday night and so when the Finance Committee
meets; he will give us his report.
