TAUNTON REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY MEETING MINUTES June 22, 2022 at 4 pm Taunton City Hall, 15 Summer Street, Taunton Silver City Conference Room, 2nd floor Members Present: Ed Correira Larry Silvia Manuel Spencer Chris Coute Jeff Pagliuca William Roth, OECD/TRA Ex. Director, was also in attendance. Dennis Ackerman, Consultant to the TRA, was also in attendance. Call to Order at 4:15 pm: A quorum was present. Item number 1: Review and approve the minutes of May 25, 2022. Mr. Spencer motioned to approve the minutes of May 25, 2022 and was seconded by Mr. Coute. There were no corrections. Motion passed unanimously. Item number 2: Update on URP, Council briefing, discussion on Citizen Advisory committee, next steps: Mr. Roth reviewed the presentation that was submitted to City Council. The members that were present felt it was a good presentation by the consultant and that it was sufficient to bring City Council up to speed on the URP. The authority members discussed the Citizen Advisory committee and started a list of potential people. It was discussed that Mr. Ackerman and Mr. Spencer work on the list, since they are familiar with a lot of the business people in the area, and reach out to them to see if they were interested. Item number 3: Update on Director’s insurance Mr. Roth indicated that he contacted a second insurance agent from Allen Walker. However, the first agent we received a quote from had reached out to the same underwriters that they use so they were unable to provide a quote. She was looking at different underwriters and would get back to the Authority when she was able to obtain a quote Item number 4: Other Business Mr. Correira and Mr. Ackerman discussed a meeting they had with Mr. Landsmark from Northeastern University. They felt it was a productive meeting and Mr. Landsmark wanted to TRA – June 22, 2022 Meeting Minutes have his students work on a project for the TRA and City. He suggested that the TRA send a few proposals for some site specific projects/studies they may want. The types of projects could include: planning, engineering, financing analyses, highest and best use studies. Discussion on the potential projects occurred. The authority felt that the following should be forwarded to Mr. Landsmark:  Bacon Felt and surrounding area  45 School Street  Reed & Barton  Spring Lane Item number 5: - Next Meeting The next meeting will be July 27, 2022.
