MA Members Present: Ed Correira (EC), Manny Spencer (MS), Larry Silvia (LS) .____CI IY CLERK Members Absent: Christopher Coute (CC), Jeffrey Pagliuea (3?), Others Present: Dennis Ackerman (DA) — Consultant, Jay Pateakos (Wa) OECD - Meeting called to order at 4:05. Item 1: • Minutes for July 26, 2023 tabled. Item 2: • Update on Wbittenton Urban Renewal Plan — (a) Planning Board meeting scheduled for September 7, 2023. TRA and City Council public hearings delayed. Waiting for attorneys from the TRA and City to give direction. (b) MEPA Study held up, waiting to fimd $39,000. JPa will look into having City transfer money to OECD to undertake MEPA. Item 3: • Harvey Street Status— all perc tests on hold until we get dry spell, looldng early to mid- September. Item 4: • Mass Development Loan/Grant Program Wa mentioned several programs including pre — development loans for veterans. A company is looking into the Longmeadow Nursing Home. Decisions on applications in process for Mass Development Program will be announced in OctOber. Item 5: • Future Planning Studies DA stated applications submitted for three projects: (a) Bacon Felt — Building and Waterfront (b) Reed and Barton (c) Hopewell School. Decision on project selection will be announced in early to mid-September. Item 6: • Other Business SPa and EC will meet with a local business to see if they can help him with a — renovation need.
