Village of Tilton Board Meeting Minutes MARCH 17, 2022 6:00 pm Mayor Phillips called the meeting to order and roll call was taken. Trustees Barrett, Finley, Mitchell, Sheets, Washkowiak and Wear were present. Trustee Washkowiak made a motion to accept the minutes of February 17, 2022, board meeting, accept the finance report and pay bills over $1,500.00. Trustee Sheets second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Wear made a motion to purchase security cameras for Village Buildings for $24,880.00. Trustee Sheets second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Wear made a motion to approve move Police Truck to Public Works, purchase new squad for police department with refit and upfits, $37,264.00 to Morrow Brothers for new squad, $2,707.00 for refit of truck and $11,856.00 for upfit to Rahn’s Equipment. Trustee Washkowiak second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Washkowiak made a motion to install additional stop signs at intersections of Washington/Grant, Washington/Moore and Crestwood/Myers effecting a 4 way stop at the intersections. Trustee Barrett second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Wear made a motion to purchase License Plate Reader system, Trustee Washkowiak second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Washkowiak made a motion to increase firefighter pay for call from $12.00 to $13.00. Trustee Sheets second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Sheets made a motion to hire Chad Kistler and Tim McFadden for new sewer plant operations. Trustee Washkowiak second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. OPENING OF PROPERTY BIDS-1523 AND 1527 MEITZLER SEPARATE. No bids received for 1523 Meitzler. One bid received from Duane Knoepfel for 1527 Meitzler for $3475.00. Trustee Sheets made a motion to accept the $3475.00 bid on 1527 Meitzler, Trustee Wear second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Wear made a motion to purchase Fob Entry System for Village Buildings from Wagner Lock and Key for $11,881.00. Trustee Finley second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Wear made a motion for O2022-0317 ESTABLISHING MUNICIPAL COURT. Trustee Sheets second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Washkowiak made a motion to approve 2022/2023 Professional Engineering Fees for MS4 with Gleisner Engineering. Trustee Sheets second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Washkowiak made a motion to purchase 700 tons of salt at $84.82 a ton, for $59,374.00, out of MFT from Morton Salt Company. Trustee Barrett second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Wear made a motion to hire David Wesner of Evans, Froelich, Beth & Chamley for further Village representation. Trustee Sheets second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Washkowiak made a motion to adjourn. Trustee Finley second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried.
