Village of Tilton Board Meeting Minutes MAY 19, 2022 6:00 pm Mayor Phillips called the meeting to order and roll call was taken. Trustees Barrett, Finley, Mitchell, Sheets, Washkowiak and Wear were present. Trustee Washkowiak made a motion to accept the minutes of April 21, 2022, board meeting, accept the finance report and pay bills over $1,500.00. Trustee Barrett second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Washkowiak made a motion for ordinance O2022-0519 for FYE2023 Village of Tilton Budget, Trustee Sheets second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Washkowiak made a motion to purchase 2023 GEV Ambulance at the price of $152,750.00, with 20% down now to start production, balance to be paid at delivery. Trustee Mitchell second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Wear made a motion for Ordinance O2022-0519a an Ordinance Amending the Abandoned Vehicle Code. Trustee Sheets second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Washkowiak made a motion to donate the old part time police car to Indianola Police Department. Trustee Barrett second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Sheets made a motion to award Bid Contract to Midwest Asphalt for G Street/Glendale Street Bridge approaches. Trustee Washkowiak second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Wear made motion for yearly Mosquito Abatement Agreement with Danville Township for $2,500.00. Trustee Barrett second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Sheets made a motion to contract with AllPaid for credit card processing for Village of Tilton services. Trustee Finley second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Wear made a motion to increase payment for pipe supplies to Hoerr Construction for the old GM Foundry line to $33,075.00 as previously was misquoted. Trustee Finley second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Wear made motion to reimburse IDOT $161,064.32 for overpayment on Ramp Road project. Trustee Washkowiak second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Wear made a motion to amend the FYE2023 Budget to increase Police Department salaries by $2,130.74 and increase income $2,130.74. Trustee Sheets second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Wear made motion to purchase fireworks from Nostalgia Pyrotechnics for $7,150.00 for July 2, 2022. Trustee Barrett second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Washkowiak made a motion to accept the lowest bid of $31,559.00 from Powell Fence Company for fencing of the Gun Range. Trustee Sheets second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Wear made a motion for Ordinance O2022-0519B AND ORDINANCE AMENDING O2022-0421, O2020-022-B, 2005-0526B, AND ORDINANCE 2010-0715A ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE IMPOSING A MOTOR FUEL TAX IN THE VILLAGE OF TILTON. Trustee Sheets second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Wear made a motion to place stop sign at Meitzler and 16th Street. Trustee Finley second. All six Trustees voted yea.
