Village of Tilton Board Meeting Minutes JUNE 16, 2022 6:00 pm Mayor Phillips called the meeting to order and roll call was taken. Trustees Barrett, Finley, Mitchell, Sheets, Washkowiak and Wear were present. Trustee Sheets made a motion to accept the minutes of MAY 19, 2022, board meeting, accept the finance report and pay bills over $1,500.00. Trustee Washkowiak second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Washkowiak made a motion to amend presented agenda to add 314 Brentwood and 1523 Meitzler to place out for bids and add Village property behind 108 W 3rd Street. Trustee Finley second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Washkowiak made a motion to accept quote from Alexis Fire Equipment for 5 sets of bunker gear for fire department at $20,965.00. Trustee Mitchell second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Washkowiak made a motion to accept quote from MES for Air Packs, Rit Gear and miscellaneous for Fire Department at $83,042.85. Trustee Mitchell second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. EMS Coordinator presented pictures of disrepair of Station 2. Trustee Wear made a motion to send out proposed living quarters specs for Architect for new living quarters for Station 2. Trustee Sheets second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Washkowiak made a motion for quote from Reagan Traffic Control for a Full Display programmable traffic sign for $36,032.00. Trustee Mitchell second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Washkowiak made a motion for quote from CN Custom Steel Work for 2 new bay doors and 2 new bay door opener system, for wash bay at Public Works, for $16,638.40. Trustee Finley second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Wear made motion to purchase contracts and cell phones from FirstNet for police officers, all full time and one part time, to be used for police work. Trustee Finley second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Washkowiak made motion to pay Curry Pay Request #5, Midwest Pay Request #2 once IEPA released funding to the Village. Trustee Mitchell second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Washkowiak made motion to place 314 Brentwood and 1523 Meitzler for public bid for two months with minimum bid of $5,000.00. Trustee Sheets second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Washkowiak made a motion to approve TIF Application from Paw-A-Day, with recommendations made by Moran Economic Development. Trustee Sheets second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Mitchell made motion to pay $3000.00 for 90’s Daughter, musical band, to perform at Thomas Park on July 8, 2022. Trustee Washkowiak second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Washkowiak made motion to place stop sign at King and 16th, instead of Meitzler and 16th. Trustee Sheets second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Washkowiak made motion to sell the Village of Tilton strip property along alleyway behind 108 W. 3rd, Tilton to owners of 108 W. 3rd, Savatore and Linda Licavoli for $1.00, pending legal confirmation from Village Attorney. Trustee Finley second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried. Trustee Wear made a motion to adjourn, Trustee Washkowiak second. All six Trustees voted yea. Motion carried.
