AN ORDINANCE BY TROTWOOD CITY COUNCIL ACCEPTING THE REPORT AND RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE COMPENSATION BOARD. Attachments: OR05-18 OR05-18 Attachment Norman Scearce III, Chair of the Compensation Board shared his report. James Williams II thanked the members of the Compensation Board. He wanted more input on the matter. John Fecke shared that we have competent people on that board and that is something that is really needed. Bruce Kettelle shared that he is not opposed to an increase. Martha Clark thanked the Mayor and Council and appreciates their hard work. She shared her concerns as well. Scotty Sly shared that he spent a lot of his own money during his time as Council Member to do city business. He shared that we need the increase. Steve Champion shared the importance of increases for the amount of work put out. He shared that he considers this increase a small amount. Janice Chinn shared that the Progressive Citizens are pleased with the City Council and can see the improvement. She shared that they deserve the raise. Council Member Finley thanked the Compensation Board and the citizens. She shared that she understands the need to look at these salaries. Council Member Kelley shared that after hearing the report that there has not been a raise for 17 years, this increase makes sense to him. Council Member Page shared that she wasn't aware there was a compensation. She shared that she isn't running for the money, she is running to represent the people during every vote.
