A motion was made by Brown, seconded by Gales, that this be approve the agenda as submitted. A PRESENTATION REGARDING THE CITY OF TROTWOOD’S INVESTMENTS - CHRIS PEEPLES (10 MIN) Attachments: PR03-18 Attachment Finance Director Chris Peeples shared the City of Trotwood's invest policy with the Council and citizens. B. A PRESENTATION REGARDING AN OVERVIEW OF EACH DEPARTMENT - CITY MANAGER QUINCY POPE (10 MIN) Each department gave a very brief overview of their functions and roles for the new council members. C. A PRESENTATION REGARDING THE MARKETING PLAN FOR THE CITY OF TROTWOOD - MATTHEW SLIVER/CATAPULT CREATIVE (15 MIN) Attachments: PR05-18 Attachment Matthew Sliver from Catapult Creative shared his presentation regarding the marketing plan for the city of Trotwood. Mayor McDonald asked that he share City of Trotwood Page 1 City Council Workshop Meeting Meeting Minutes January 22, 2018 about the leaves and what they mean. Council Member Kelley and Finley shared thier concerns and comments regarding the branding. Council Member Page asked are we voting on this? Mayor McDonald shared that we are just hearing a presentation today. City Manager Pope shared about the branding and moving forward. VI. Motion to Close the Workshop Mayor McDonald requests a motion on this item. A motion was made by Vaughn, seconded by Brown, that this be adjourned. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 7- Councilmember Finley, Councilmember Kelley Jr., Brown, Gales, Page, McDonald and Vaughn VII. Motion to Open the Special Meeting Council Member Finley had a question on the motion. She stated that according to the City Charter the notice should have the purpose of the meeting listed. Mayor McDonald requests a motion to amend the agenda to state "Motion to Open the Special Meeting to Discuss Electric Generation". A motion was made by Vaughn, seconded by Councilmember Finley, that this be approved. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 7 - Mayor McDonald, Vice Mayor Gales, Councilmember Finley, Councilmember Kelley Jr., Councilmember Page, Councilmember Vaughn and Councilmember Brown Mayor McDonald requests a motion on this item. A motion was made by Vaughn, seconded by Councilmember Finley, that this be approved. Motion to Approve the Consent Agenda Council Member Finely had a question on the motion. She asked if the minutes could reflect more excerpts. Deputy Clerk Young shared he could do that. Mayor McDonald requests a motion on this item. A motion was made by Councilmember Finley, seconded by Vaughn, that this be approved on the Consent Agenda. A RESOLUTION BY TROTWOOD CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE City of Trotwood Page 3 City Council Workshop Meeting Meeting Minutes January 22, 2018 CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO AN AGREEMENT FOR ELECTRIC GENERATION SUPPLY WITH A COMPETITIVE RETAIL ELECTRIC PROVIDER. Attachments: R18-05 R18-05 Attachment Council Member Page had a question regarding the reduction and asked what happens with that money? City Manager Pope shared that the money stays in our hands.
