Minutes of the TROY CITY COUNCIL LAW COMMITTEE MEETING September 4, 2019 12:00 P.M. Main Conference Room The meeting was called to order at 12:00 p.m. by Committee Chair Paratore. Pledge of Allegiance Roll Call: The roll being called, the following answered to their names: Council Member Gulli, Council Member Kennedy, Council President Mantello (ex officio), Council Member Paratore, Chair. Council Member Garrett, Council Member Cummings, and Council Member Bissember were also present. In attendance was Corporation Counsel James Caruso. Approximately 9 members of the public attended. The committee met in executive session to review pending lawsuits and internal affairs reports with the Corporation Counsel. Public Forum:  Luz Marquez-Benbow, Troy, spoke regarding the killing of Edson Thevenin by Officer Randall French  Messiah, Grace Court, spoke regarding the killing of Edson Thevenin by Officer Randall French and police violence against other men of color in the City of Troy  Gertha Depas, spoke regarding the killing of her son, Edson Thevenin by Officer Randall French Adjournment The meeting adjourned at 2:10 p.m. An audio recording of this meeting is on file at the City Clerk's office.
