City of Tybee Island Tybee Island Marine Science Center ad hoc Committee Draft Minutes March 13, 2020 In attendance: Shawn Gillen, Peter Gulbronson, Bubba Hughes, Tom Olson, Maria Procopio, Craig Clements, Matt Lieb, Matt Schivera, Alice Jonsson Meeting called to order at 11:00 AM. Draft Minutes 2/28/20 approved unanimously. Matt Lieb went through project schedule highpoints. Elevator people are holding things up a little. He is actively encouraging them to resolve the issue. They are close to being ready for final MEP inspections. Shawn Gillen asked if they are concerned about delays from suppliers. Matt Schivera and Matt Lieb said they are not worried about supplies. They said it should be done first/second week of April, unless something dramatic related to Corona Virus occurs. They are taking precautions to keep workers healthy. Group discussed crossover and ramps. Alice Jonsson will scan in signed change orders and send to the group. Matt Lieb - Builder’s Risk – CO may come a week after the insurance expires. Bubba Hughes said he will speak with City’s insurance people to get a recommendation from them. Maria Procopio – asked how to handle invoices for the recreational elements. Shawn Gillen – Maria Procopio will email COTI the invoices and we will pay them. Maria Procopio gave Alice Jonsson the landscaping plan. Alice Jonsson had it scanned in and will send it to Maria Procopio and George Shaw. Shawn Gillen asked about using a room in the current Marine Science Center to use for video surveillance and monitoring. Maria Procopio said by May 1st it should not be a problem, or as soon as they can move into the new building. Maria Procopio said it would not be a problem for COTI to simply check out the room. The next meeting will be March 20th, 2020. Matt Lieb made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Matt Schivera seconded. Motion passed unanimously. Meeting adjourned at 11:25.
