Tyrone Town Council Meeting Minutes August 8, 2018 Special Called 6:30 p.m. Present: Mayor Eric Dial Mayor Pro Tem Gloria Furr Council Member Ken Matthews Council Member Linda Howard Council Member Ryan Housley Town Manager Jonathan Lynn Finance Manager Sandy Beach Town Clerk Dee Baker Approval of Agenda Council Member Matthews made a motion to approve the agenda. Council Member Howard seconded the motion. Motion was approved 4-0. Public Hearing: Discussion on the millage rate of the Town of Tyrone for fiscal year 2018-2019. Jonathan Lynn, Town Manager Mayor Dial stated that the millage rate was proposed to remain at 2.889, which translated into a tax increase of 3.33%. He explained that if a home that was valued at $300,000, the tax increase would equate to $4.60. Mayor Dial opened the public hearing for anyone in support of the proposed action. No one spoke. Mayor Dial opened the public hearing for anyone that wished to speak in opposition of the item. No one spoke. No action was taken. Council Meeting August 2, 2018 Page 1 of 2 Mayor Dial announced that the final millage public hearing would be held on Thursday, August 16th at 6:30 pm and approval of the millage rate would be at 7:00 pm. Adjournment Council Member Furr made a motion to adjourn. Motion was approved 4-0.
