ELECTED OFFICIALS PHYSICALLY PRESENT Charlie Smyth, Alderman Ward 1 Eric Jakobsson, Alderman Ward 2 Carol C. Ammons, Alderman Ward 3 Dennis Roberts, Alderman Ward 5 Michael P. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL There being a quorum, Mayor Prussing called the special meeting of the Urbana City Council to order at 5:30 p.m. II. PETITIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS Liz Walden did not wish to speak, but completed a public input card indicating she would answer any questions from Council Members. III. CLOSED SESSION: TO CONSIDER THE APPOINTMENT, EMPLOYMENT AND COMPENSATION OF SPECIFIC EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY, PURSUANT TO 5 ILCS 120/2(C)(1) Alderman Smyth made a motion to go into closed session for the purpose of discussing the appointment, employment and compensation of specific Urbana City Council (Special) Minutes: July 8, 2013 Page 2 of 2 employees of the City, pursuant 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1). Alderman Roberts seconded. The vote was as follows: Aye: Ammons, Jakobsson, Madigan, Marlin, Roberts, Smyth, Mayor Prussing Nay: None The Council went into closed session at 5:35 p.m. The Council resumed open session at 6:01 p.m. with the following elected officials physically present: Ammons, Jakobsson, Madigan, Marlin, Roberts, Smyth, Mayor Prussing. [The record also shows City Clerk Phyllis Clark physically present as an elected official.] IV.
