Call To Order and Roll Call There being a quorum, Mayor Prussing called the special meeting of the Urbana City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. Peter Folk spoke in support of Ordinance No. 2016-08-075. II. Petitions and Communications Mayor Prussing proclaimed the month of September 2016 “National Library Card Signup Month”. III. UNFINISHED BUSINESS 1. Ordinance No. 2016-08-078: An Ordinance Waiving Right of First Refusal to Purchase Assets (Waiver of the City of Urbana’s Right to Purchase Those UC2B Fiber Optic Network Assets Located within the City of Urbana’s Corporate Boundaries and which are Operated by iTV-3, Inc.) Urbana City Council (Special Meeting) Minutes: August 22, 2016 Page 2 of 2 Alderman Smyth made a motion to approve this ordinance. Motion was seconded by Alderman Roberts and carried by roll call vote as follows: Ammons – Aye Marlin – Aye Brown - Aye Roberts - Aye Madigan - Aye Smyth - Aye Disposition: Ordinance No. 2016-08-078 was approved by roll call vote (6-Aye; 0-Nay). IV. NEW BUSINESS 1. Ordinance No. 2016-08-075: An Ordinance Approving an Amended and Restated Right-Of-Way License Agreement with Gargoyle Technologies, Inc., D/B/A Volo Broadband. Assistant City Engineer Brad Bennett presented this ordinance. He and Volo Broadband CEO Peter Folk answered questions and concerns from council members. Alderman Roberts made a motion to approve this ordinance. Motion seconded by Alderman Madigan and carried by roll call vote as follows: Ammons – Aye Marlin – Aye Brown - Aye Roberts - Aye Madigan – Aye Smyth - Aye Disposition: Ordinance No. 2016-08-075 was approved by roll call vote (6-Aye; 0-Nay).
