Smyth, City Clerk URBANA CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING Monday July 16, 2018 The City Council of the City of Urbana, Illinois, met in special session Monday July 16, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Urbana City Building. ELECTED OFFICIALS PHYSICALLY PRESENT: Maryalice Wu, Alderwoman Ward 1 Eric Jakobsson, Alderman Ward 2 Bill Brown, Alderman Ward 4 Dennis Roberts, Alderman Ward 5 Jared Miller, Alderman Ward 7 Diane Wolfe Marlin, Mayor ELECTED OFFICIALS PRESENT VIA TELECONFERENCE None ELECTED OFFICIALS ABSENT: Aaron Ammons, Alderman Ward 3 Dean Hazen, Alderman Ward 6 Charles A. Smyth, City Clerk STAFF PRESENT: Wendy Hundley; William Gray; Carol Mitten; Craig Shonkwiler; James Simon OTHERS PRESENT: Media I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL There being a quorum present, Mayor Marlin called the meeting of the Urbana City Council to order 6:01 p.m. II. PUBLIC INPUT None III. CLOSED SESSION a. To consider probable or imminent litigation, Pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(11). Alderman Miller made a motion to go into closed session to consider probable or imminent litigation, pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11). Seconded by Alderman Roberts. Motion carried by roll call vote. Votes were as follows: Page 1 of 2  Ammons – Absent Miller – Aye Brown – Aye Roberts – Aye Hazen – Absent Wu – Aye Jakobsson – Aye Mayor Marlin – Aye The City Council and mayor returned to council chambers at 7:02 p.m. The board went back into open session via motion by Alderman Miller and seconded by Alderman Roberts. Motion carried by unanimous voice vote. There being no further business before the council Alderman Roberts made a motion to adjourned the special meeting. Alderwoman Wu seconded. Motion carried by unanimous voice vote. IV. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the City Council, Mayor Marlin declared the meeting adjourned at 7:03 p.m. Wendy M.
