CITY OF VERONA MINUTES FINANCE COMMITTEE APRIL 28, 2014 VERONA CITY HALL 1. The meeting was called to order by William “Mac” McGilvray at 6:32 p.m. 2 Roll Call: Elizabeth Doyle, William “Mac” McGilvray, Jack Linder. Also present: Bill Burns, City Administrator; Jon Hochkammer, Mayor; Heather Reekie, Alderperson; Brad Stiner, Alderperson, Dale Yurs, Alderperson. 3. Approval of the 4/14/2014 Finance Committee Minutes: Motion by McGilvray, seconded by Doyle, to approve the 4/14/2014 Finance Committee minutes. Motion carried 3-0. 4. Payment of Bills: Motion by Linder, seconded by Doyle, to approve the payment of bills in the amount of $332,905.66. Motion carried 3-0. 5. Resolution R-14-014 Authorizing the Reissuance of Latitude Corp. Industrial Development Bonds: Mr. Burns reported that Latitude Corporation is asking the City for approval of the reissuance of Industrial Development Bonds that were originally issued by the City in 2004. This is a conduit financing tool that is not a general obligation of the City. Latitude is responsible for all payments on the issue. They are seeking modifications to the terms to the bond documents which trigger the need for the reissuance. Motion by McGilvray, seconded by Linder, to recommend that the Council approve Resolution R-14-014 Authorizing the Reissuance of Latitude Corp. Industrial Development Bonds. Motion carried 3-0. 6. Recommendation for the Redesign of the City Website: Mr. Burns provided an explanation of the options the City has researched for the website. Staff have evaluated proposals from the City’s current website provider, GovOffice, CivicPlus, and considered open source platforms. Based on discussions with several other municipalities and an evaluation of the options, staff recommends CivicPlus as the preferred solution. The consensus of the Committee Members was to go with CivicPlus. Staff will work on terms of an agreement that will come back to the Finance Committee for potential action at a future meeting. 7.
