CITY OF VERONA MINUTES FINANCE COMMITTEE NOVEMBER 10, 2014 VERONA CITY HALL 1. The meeting was called to order by Elizabeth Doyle at 6:00 p.m. 2 Roll Call: Elizabeth Doyle, Jack Linder. Absent (Excused): William “Mac” McGilvray. Also present: Bill Burns, City Administrator; Ron Rieder, Public Works Director; Bob Gundlach, City Engineer 3. Approval of the 10/27/2014 Finance Committee Minutes: Motion by Doyle, seconded by Linder, to approve the 10/27/2014 Finance Committee minutes. Motion carried 2-0. 4. Payment of Bills: Motion by Linder, seconded by Doyle, to approve the payment of bills in the amount of $1,259,603.25. Motion carried 2-0. 5. Out-of-Office Checks: Motion by Linder, seconded by Doyle, to approve the payment of out-of-office checks in the amount of $4,021.86. Motion carried 2-0. 6. Proposed 2015 Water, Sewer, and Storm Water Budgets: Mr. Rieder presented the proposed 2015 Water, Sewer, and Storm Water Utility Budgets. Updates included:  The Water Utility is not planning to pursue a rate increase in 2015.  The Water Utility is investigating water loss in the system that was up to 17% in 2013.  The Sewer Utility is planning to have Baker-Tilly perform a rate study in 2015 which would include a potential automatic rate adjustments for costs from the Madison Metropolitan Sewer District passed on to Verona. 7.
