City of Verona Finance Committee City Hall – 111 Lincoln Street Verona, WI 53593-1520 MINUTES FINANCE COMMITTEE August 29, 2017 The meeting was called to order by Alder William “Mac” McGilvray at 5:02 p.m. in Conference Room D110. Roll Call: Alder William “Mac” McGilvray, Alder Elizabeth Doyle, and Alder Jack Linder were present. Also present: City Administrator Jeff Mikorski, Finance Director Brian Lamers, Planning and Development Director Adam Sayre, FitchRona EMS Director Brian Myrland, and Alder Luke Diaz. Discussion and Possible Action re: 2018 Operational Budget Presentations. Planning and Development Director Adam Sayre presented a summary of 2017 activity, goals of the department, and the Planning Department’s requested 2018 operational budget. Proposed budget includes an overall 1.25% decrease from the 2017 budget. No action taken. FitchRona EMS Director Brian Myrland presented the proposed 2018 EMS District Budget that includes an overall 2.8% increase over the 2017 budget. Jeff Mikorski and Brian Lamers presented the proposed operational budgets for Administration (3.27% increase from 2017), City Council (24.76% decrease from 2017), and the Tax Increment Financing Districts for the 2018 budget. No action taken. Adjournment: Motion by Doyle, seconded by Linder, to adjourn the Finance Committee Meeting at 6:40 p.m. Motion carried 3-0.
