City of Verona Finance Committee City Hall – 111 Lincoln Street Verona, WI 53593-1520 MINUTES FINANCE COMMITTEE JULY 8, 2024 The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Mara Helmke at 6:30 p.m. Roll Call: Chairperson Mara Helmke, Alder Christine Posey and Alder Patrick Lytle were present. Also present: City Administrator Jamie Aulik, Finance Director Brian Lamers, Alder Beth Tucker Long and Alder Brandon Braithwaite Discussion and Possible Action regarding approval of June 24, 2024 Finance Committee minutes: Motion was made by Posey, seconded by Lytle to approve the June 24, 2024 Finance Committee minutes with no changes noted. Motion carried 3-0. ] Discussion and Possible Action regarding 2025 Budget Items: Lamers stated we have received the Wisconsin Retirement System percentages. The City portion for the for the general employees went from 6.90% to 6.95%, a .05% increase and the protective went from 14.32% to 15.01%, a .69% increase. Discussion and Possible Action regarding the payment of bills: Motion was made by Posey, seconded by Lytle to approve the payment of bills totaling $857,288.03. Motion carried 3-0. Adjournment: Motion was made by Posey, seconded by Lytle to adjourn the Finance Committee Meeting at 6:39 p.m. Motion carried 3-0.
