CITY OF VERONA PUBLIC SAFETY AND WELFARE COMMITTEE JUNE 22, 2015 VERONA CITY HALL MINUTES 1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Dale Yurs at 6:17 p.m. 2. Roll Call: Members Present: Dale Yurs and Heather Reekie. Evan Touchett arrived at 6:25 p.m. Others Present: Sgt. Jesse Christensen; and Kami Scofield, City Clerk. 3. Approval of Minutes. Motion by Reekie, seconded by Yurs to approve the minutes from the June 8, 2015 meeting. Motion carried 2/0. 4. Discussion and possible action regarding a Special Event Permit for the ‘Mama Goose Memorial Run/Walk’ on Saturday August 15th from Matthew Giesfeldt. Matt Giesfeldt was in attendance to explain that this is the 7th year of the successful event. Motion by Reekie, seconded by Yurs to approve the Special Event Permit for the Mama Goose Memorial Run/Walk. Motion carried 2/0. 5. Discussion and possible action regarding a Special Event Permit for a Neighborhood Potluck and Bicycle Ride in the Raywood Subdivision on Saturday, July 4th from Marcia Tennyson.. Motion by Reekie, seconded by Yurs to approve the neighborhood event. Motion carried 3/0. 6. Discussion and possible action regarding the liquor license renewal for The Heights of Verona, LLC. The Committee took no action on this item due to falsified information on the application. 7. Adjournment. Motion by Reekie, seconded by Yurs to adjourn the meeting at 6:44 p.m. Motion carried 3/0.
