CITY OF VERONA PUBLIC SAFETY AND WELFARE COMMITTEE SEPTEMBER 26, 2016 VERONA CITY HALL MINUTES 1. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Scott Stewart at 5:47 p.m. 2. Roll Call: Scott Stewart and Heather Reekie present. Evan Touchett absent and excused. Also in attendance: Police Chief Bernie Coughlin and City Clerk Ellen Clark. 3. Approval of Minutes: Motion by Reekie, seconded by Stewart, to approve the minutes of the September 12, 2016 Public Safety and Welfare meeting. Motion carried 2-0. 4. Discussion and Possible Action Re: Ordinance No. 16-883 Amending Section 10-1-26 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Verona, to Restrict Parking in the Public Parking Lot at the Corner of Park Lane and South Franklin Street. This amendment would restrict overnight parking in the new public parking lot at the corner of Park Lane and Franklin Street to disallow parking between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. The consensus of the committee was to table this item. No action was taken. 5. Adjournment. Motion by Reekie, seconded by Stewart, to adjourn at 6:00 p.m. Motion carried 2-0. Ellen Clark City Clerk
