CITY OF VERONA MINUTES PUBLIC WORKS/SEWER & WATER COMMITTEE MONDAY, MAY 12, 2014 1. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Evan Touchett at 5:30 p.m. 2. Roll Call: Present: Evan Touchett, William McGilvray, Luke Diaz. Also present: Bill Burns, City Administrator, Bob Gundlach, City Engineer, Ron Rieder, Director of Public Works. 3. MOVED by McGilvray, seconded by Diaz, to approve the minutes of the April 28, 2014 meeting of the Public Works/Sewer and Water Committee. Motion carried 3-0. 4. MOVED by McGilvray, seconded by Diaz, to approve the Developer’s Agreement for Prairie Oaks Second Addition Phase I and II between the City of Verona and MGNM, LLC. Motion carried 3-0. 5. MOVED by Touchett, seconded by Diaz, to approve the Property Use Agreement between the City of Verona and the Wisconsin Brewing Company, LLC. Motion carried 3-0. 6. MOVED by McGilvray, seconded by Diaz, to approve the Professional Services Agreement for the North Nine Mound Road/CTH PD Intersection Reconstruction in an amount not to exceed $156,790.00. Motion carried 3-0. 7. Discussion regarding the Prairie Crest Storm Water Channel: During the platting process of the Prairie Crest Subdivision there was a discrepancy on the southerly property line of the Tsunehiro property and the northerly property line of the Prairie Crest Plat that was never resolved at the time of the recording of the plat. A portion of the drainage swale was constructed on the Tsunehiro property. On Tsunehiro property their existing fence line is located on O.L. 2 that is owned by the City. City staff is suggesting the cleanest way to resolve this would be that the Tsunehiros will deed to the City the area that the drainage swale is constructed, approximately 10,000 square feet and then the City will deed to the Tsunehiros the area that their existing fence is encroaching on O.L. 2 which is approximately 14,000 square feet. The Committee was supportive of the recommendation from City staff’s suggestion to resolve this matter. The Director of Public Works will bring back the legal descriptions and documents at a future meeting for final approval. 8. MOVED by McGilvray, seconded by Diaz, to adjourn. Motion carried 3-0.
