Public Works, Sewer and Water

CITY OF VERONA MINUTES PUBLIC WORKS/SEWER & WATER COMMITTEE MONDAY, JULY 28, 2014 1. The meeting was called to order by Acting Chairperson William McGilvray at 5:05 p.m. 2. Roll Call: Present: William McGilvray, Luke Diaz, Evan Touchett arrived at 5:10 p.m. Also present: Bill Burns, City Administrator, Bob Gundlach, City Engineer, Ron Rieder, Director of Public Works. 3. MOVED by McGilvray, seconded by Diaz, to approve the minutes of the July 14, 2014 meeting of the Public Works/Sewer and Water Committee. Motion carried 2-0. 4. Discussion regarding the Sanitary Sewer back-up claim at 308 N. Main St.: No action was taken. The Committee suggested that we bring any additional information back to the Public Works Committee in August. 5. MOVED by McGilvray, seconded by Diaz, to approve the Professional Services Agreement for Liberty Drive Phase I street lighting design in an amount not to exceed $19,850.00. Motion carried 3-0. 6. MOVED by Touchett, seconded by McGilvray, to approve the Professional Services Agreement for a Water System Master Plan in an amount not to exceed $66,900.00. Motion carried 3-0. 7. William McGilvray departed at 6:00 p.m. 8. Discussion regarding the 2015 Capital Improvement Budget: Ron Rieder presented the preliminary budget for the Public Works Department, and the Sewer, Water and Storm Water Utilities.
