CITY OF VERONA MINUTES PUBLIC WORKS/SEWER & WATER COMMITTEE MONDAY, AUGUST 25, 2014 1. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Evan Touchett at 5:00 p.m. 2. Roll Call: Present: Evan Touchett, William McGilvray, Luke Diaz. Also present: Bill Burns, City Administrator, Bob Gundlach, City Engineer, Ron Rieder, Director of Public Works. 3. MOVED by McGilvray, seconded by Diaz, to approve the minutes of the July 28, 2014 meeting of the Public Works/Sewer and Water Committee. Motion carried 3-0. 4. MOVED by Touchett, seconded by Diaz to approve the State/Municipal Agreement for a State-Let Local Bridge Project on Old PB. Motion carried 3-0. 5. MOVED by Touchett, seconded by McGilvray to approve a Professional Services Agreement for design services for the existing Locust Drive girder bridge over USH 18/151 for the purpose of expanding the existing bridge to accommodate pedestrian traffic, not to exceed $61,050.00. Motion carried 3-0. 6. MOVED by Diaz, seconded by Touchett to approve the insurance claim from Jim Ladika in the amount of $238.39. Motion carried 3-0. 7. MOVED by McGilvray, seconded by Touchett to deny the insurance claim from Jane Betzig. Motion carried 3-0. 8. MOVED by Touchett, seconded by McGilvray to adjourn. Motion carried 3-0.
