Public Works, Sewer and Water

CITY OF VERONA MINUTES PUBLIC WORKS/SEWER & WATER COMMITTEE MONDAY, JANUARY 26, 2015 1. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Evan Touchett at 5:05 p.m. 2. Roll Call: Present: Evan Touchett, Luke Diaz, Mac McGilvray arrived at 5:10 p.m. Also present: Bill Burns, City Administrator; Bob Gundlach, City Engineer; Ron Rieder, Director of Public Works. 3. MOVED by Touchett, seconded by Diaz, to approve the minutes of the December 15, 2014 meeting of the Public Works/Sewer and Water Committee. Motion carried 2-0. 4. Matt Saltzberry presented a draft plan for the Downtown streetscape plan for South Main Street. The committee was supportive of the draft plan and asked that Matt and staff continue working on finalizing the drawings and bring this item back to the committee at a future meeting. 5. Ron Rieder presented the CSM which would modify the lot lines for the Tsunehiro property which is located at the northeast corner of Locust Drive and Meadowside Drive. The committee was in support of the proposed CSM and authorized staff to take this item forward to the Plan Commission for their approval. 6. MOVED by McGilvray, seconded by Diaz, to authorize the City Administrator to settle the claim for the damage that occurred to a parked car when it was struck by a snow plow not to exceed $6,000.00. Motion carried 3-0. 7. Mr. Touchett asked that we bring forward to a future meeting a document that would authorize City Administration to resolve non-bodily injury liability claims against the City. 8.
